The story of JMJ began quietly—with a simple invitation, a shared vision, and a deep desire to serve.

Over five years ago, Megan Niemaszyk began building what would become JMJ Community Partners: a Medicaid provider agency rooted in dignity, sacredness, and person-centered care. With more than a decade of experience in Colorado’s Medicaid system, Megan saw firsthand the challenges families faced—and felt called to create something different. Something better.

She didn’t just want to fill a gap. She wanted to reimagine how support could look: grounded in relationships, community, and respect for the whole person.

A Heart for People, A Mind for Systems

Megan’s path has always been people-first. While earning her degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from CU Boulder (go Buffs!), she worked at Adams Camp and The Wayfaring Band, offering therapeutic recreation and support to individuals with disabilities.

She went on to serve in leadership roles at Developmental Pathways, including Case Manager, Program Manager, and Associate Director of Case Management. These years gave her a deep understanding of what individuals and families need—and what the system often fails to provide.

Megan also helped implement the Final Settings Rule through her work with the University of New Hampshire’s Institute on Disability, gaining a strong foundation in policy and person-centered planning. Today, as a certified Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador, she continues to help families navigate complex systems with clarity and compassion.

Service That Starts in the Ordinary

While her professional experience is wide-ranging, Megan’s leadership is also shaped by something more personal.

Years ago, she spent time in Rwanda, working with the Missionaries of Charity at an orphanage for children with disabilities. That quiet, hidden season taught her something she’s never forgotten:

The most powerful acts of service often go unseen—and every moment, no matter how small, is sacred.

This belief in the “hidden life”—a life lived with quiet devotion and purpose—continues to shape her work today. Whether she’s helping a family through a transition, building sustainable systems of care, or tending to her backyard flower garden, Megan lives her mission with humility and grace.

As Mother Teresa once said:
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Leading with Love, Building with Purpose

Today, Megan is a wife, a mother of three, a systems thinker, and the heart behind JMJ.

She leads from a place of quiet strength and deep listening. And under her leadership, JMJ continues to grow into what she first envisioned:
A community rooted in care. Grounded in dignity. Built to last.

Whether you’re a parent navigating a new diagnosis, a provider looking for partnership, or a community member seeking support, Megan is here—for you, with you, and always ready to listen.

She invites all who encounter JMJ into deeper dialogue—asking, What’s needed? What would help this individual, this family, this community thrive?
That question continues to guide every step forward.
